Taken from my landscape precedent designed to reduce sound from airports, this perspective reinvents the typical terraced housing streets. The form of the buildings creates spaces adaptable for families and single occupants, establishing a co housing relationship.

PERSPECTIVE

This plan was an experiment of mass housing within the site. As high rise buildings were not appreciated in Stretford, I used a format similar to terraced housing to allow space for 32 houses, whilst still gaining space for landscaping within the negative.

1ST FLOOR PLAN

S

- Mass number of housing

- Shape and layout of housing reduces sound from major road

W

- Small passageways, intimidating and dangerous

-Buildings will shade site making it dark

- No central or communal outdoor space

O

- Make circulation spaces into landscaping opportunities

- No distinguishable features between public and private

T

- May become a dark and miserable place

- Looses community sense and spirit due to mass housing
